| Trane introduces Charge Assist™ |
|
Source: Air Conditioning Today. June 2008. A feature on the new Trane ComfortLink™ II systems, Charge Assist enables technicians to simply push a button and ensure proper refrigerant charge. Charge Assist delivers the precise amount of refrigerant before shutting itself off and returning control of the system back to the comfort control. It can be used when a system is installed, and during routine maintenance, to ensure system reliability. During maintenance, Charge Assist will indicate if a unit is under or over charged with refrigerant, enabling the technician to add or recover refrigerant and put the system back in balance. Charge Assist provides a method for automatically adding refrigerant more accurately than has been possible in the past. |
