Westport, CN – NORDYNE was selected as the recipient of the 2008 “AHR Award for its 23-SEER air conditioner with iQ Drive during the Exposition, January 22-24 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
This innovative product was chosen from among the nine winners of the 2008 AHR EXPO Innovation Awards, and industry-wide competition designed to promote and encourage product innovation.  This year, more than 100 products were entered in nine different award categories.  NORDYNE’S 23-SEER air conditioner won the Innovation Award in the “Cooling” category and then was selected from among the nine first place winners to earn the ultimate honor, the AHR EXPO Product of the Year Award for 2008.  Thirty products were also given “Honorable Mentions.”
The 2008 AHR EXPO innovation Award entry fees were used to fund a scholarship that was presented to the Monmouth County Vocational School to support students in its HVAC & R Program.  Since 2004, more than $45,000 in scholarship funds has been donated to vocational schools around the country.
